Plant Supervisor-1st Shift

Responsible for supervising the production and activities on the Raw side through the various shift lead persons. Train, direct and motivate employees to achieve department goals and standards on yield, quality, productivity and safety. Responsible for making decisions related to scheduling and staffing assigned department.
Responsible for his/her respective department and for meeting department goals and standards on quality, yield, productivity, cost and safety
Directly responsible for the development and training of employees, working within the guidelines of the union contract and company policies
Directly responsible for monitoring standards and indexes needed to control area of responsibility
Responsible for quick and timely feedback to Supervisor on all exceptions in regards to productivity, downtime, quality, yield, cost and safety
Responsible for making sure all preventive maintenance is done on all equipment in area of control and interfacing with immediate Supervisor on all suggested changes that would make the job better, more profitable and safer
Directly responsible for giving safety orientations and holding safety/general meetings as required
Responsible for the testing and developing techniques and processes on equipment as directed by his/her Supervisor
Must possess a B.S. or B.A. degree in Business Management or equivalent work experience
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the food processing industry.
Must have demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing and must have strong interpersonal skills
Must have a balanced technical/mechanical/human resource knowledge
Must be able to evaluate line employees fairly and objectively
Must have the ability to interface on a daily basis with all support groups or departments
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
